Black Screen Issue

As soon as i start this game the whole screen goes black. Music on, mouse is there but black screen is there just teasing me. Might as well be the middle finger insead of the pointer. I can see for a split second using windows button+f. After looking for fixes online apparently the game can run in windowed mode. I deleted and redownloaded this game (7 gigs 2 hours each dl) because after you save the fullscreen settings you cant do it again. Very painful entry into the app store gaming purchase world. Told 3 friends how good this game was before i played it…now they all have it and i’m here like a chump.
