An Instant Classic
Obsidian hit it out of the park with this one. I am running this on a 5K Retina iMac and have never had so much as a stutter, much less a crash. I’m guessing most crashes are related to the machine folks have purchased (gaming on a Mac Mini? I think you’re getting what you paid for with that one). This is a wonderfully deep and complex story that will leave you wanting more, even after 50+ hours of play time. This game triumphs because it doesn’t try to be more than the sum of its parts. While this might turn some folks off, I knew this one was a winner when I took nearly an hour creating my character and STILL thought I rushed it! So many options with so many far reaching consequences—truly an immersive and expansive experience. Well done, Obsidian!
Finally, just want to point out that the crashes others seem to be experiencing arent Apple’s issue, they are a OBSIDIAN issue. As another reviewer noted, patch 1.03 is available on Steam. The reason patch 1.03 isn’t out to Apple yet? BECAUSE OBSIDIAN HASN’T RELEASED IT FOR THE MAC PLATFORM YET. You expose yourself as a lazy whiner when you don’t even understand that the developer releases updates to their games, not the platform. Sheesh!
